From St. Lucia With Love

Born Learie Carasco in St. Lucia he moved to England in his teens and enlisted in the Royal Signals where he served for two years in the Yorkshire area. 

After his service, Rick moved to London and was spotted by a record producer at a nightclub where he was performing in an amateur night singing contest.  The producer signed him up.  He was given the name Ricky Wayne -- a combination of the names Ricky Nelson and John Wayne -- and he released a few singles that were not widely received.  But Ricky did have success in the London nightclubs where he performed many nights a week for two or three years, all the while exercising and lifting weights to improve his measurements. 

Rick won the Mr. Universe contest in 1965.  He did a couple of films for some European outfits with brief nudity, but no sex.  Mostly just muscleman poses.  He currently lives in St. Lucia with his wife Mae Mollica Sabbagh, an American bodybuilder.  He is 83 years old.
