Father & Son

I first posted the top photo in this post way back in April 2019 when I realized the guy on the left was Joe Leitel.  I vaguely recognized the guy on the right but could not identify him at the time.  Guess what?  Now I remember who he is and there's a cute story to go with the name.

The model's name is Bill Milhorn.  He posed for AMG around the mid-1950s but he never did a film that I know of.  Bill was hanging out at the AMG compound one day and had to use the phone.  He spoke to an operator and he started flirting with the young lass.  Bill got her number and set up a date.  Well, Bill wound up marrying the girl and they had a son named Ron.

Two decades later Ron showed up at the AMG compound and continued the Milhorn tradition of posing for Mizer.  The other photo in this post is Ron Milhorn on the cover of Physique Pictorial in August 1977.

  1. Bob Mizer's codes were not flattering to RON MILHORN. According to Bob Mizer's secret codes RON was strictly "LOOK BUT DO NOT TOUCH". RON liked Women and Mizer considered him to be a Square.!! I never saw Mizer's codes for the Father BILL.

  2. Bill Millhorn appears in the first dual variety catalogue, from 1948-49.

  3. Joe Leitel lived from 1937 to 2001. He was not even 18 until 1955. JOE was born in San Pedro a section of LA by the ocean. He was a true bisexual and he married a woman and had 2 children with her. After the 2nd child was born he and the wife divorced. After the Divorce Joe moved out to the Desert in Cabazon California to live with a gay man named Frank Vargas. Vargas was his friend and a former roommate before Joe was married. Frank was Debbie Reynolds' assistant until he retired and moved to Cabazon. Joe Leitel decided that living with Frank Vargas was the best option for him and Joe's bisexuality made him a perfect roommate. He was literally walking down the street in Cabazon California and died in 2001 from a massive heart aneurism on a beautiful sunny day when it was 75 degrees. Joe passed at age 63.
