Recently I spotted this perusing an on-line auction site. It's a prop used by Bruce of LA for many of his models in the 50s and 60s. Offered as evidence are photographs of a few models using the half-moon like device.
The estimated selling price was given as $2,000. The final sale price was $14,000! The photos were included in the sale.
That's so interesting. Intersting that someone bothered to keep it from way back then and that someone paid $14k for it. I wonder if some of the lads posing pouches are being kept by someone somewhere.
