The photo projected for the background was from Bob Mizer's trip to Italy in 1952, it appears to be the promenade deck of the Italian liner Saturnia. -Rj
I figure Bob must have either flown or taken a train to New York and then boarded a ship for Italy or flew to Italy and came back to New York by ship. At that time the Italian ocean liners had the lowest fares to Europe and traveling by ship could be less expensive than flying. -Rj
