My New Obsession

I can't put a name to this AMG model, but maybe someone else can.  Nice!

Cambria did.  Meet John "Johnny" Thorne who did one solo posing film in 1966 that was to be released in 1969.  However, by then, Mizer was selling full nudes, so it probably never was released.  All we have now is John wearing a somewhat translucent pouch.

  1. This model is Johnny Thorne. He was photographed in 1964 and in 1965 by Bob Mizer at AMG. It was his real name.

  3. No doubt Mizer did not release a film until he received enough orders to justify the cost, thus another reason why some films were never released. As well as the increased competition in the late 1960’s with the easing of censorship and the increase in more explicit content.
Many of the physique photographers got out of the business because they were not willing to go with explicit content.
    The 1960’s were a bellwether….:)

  4. JOHNNY THORNE AKA JOHN THORNE posed for Bob Mizer at AMG in 1965. It was his real name. JOHN was from San Jose California. Jim Panama brought JOHN to see Bob Mizer. No one realized until months later that JOHN was the younger Brother of AMG Model Roger Thorne who had posed in 1957 for Bob Mizer. Not even JOHN knew. JOHN made a short Posing film called "John Thorne Posing" that was released on August 17, 1969. I confirmed it with the BMF.
