AMG model James Selig, who Mizer told us won the Mr. Florida contest before coming to California.  

I don't think this is an AMG photo.  He looks a little older and more muscular than his days at that studio.  He also went by the name James Seely.

New Find

There are two posts I made in the early days of this blog that featured James "Jim" Selig.  Today I'm adding a third post to include a somewhat newer photo (to me) of Mr. Selig.  

In the top photo we see a handsome James Seely (not Selig) who (we were told) was a Mr. Florida.  I have found no corroborating evidence to support that claim, but I can say for certain it is the AMG model we know as James Selig.  The tattoo is the tell.  I have no idea who took the top photo, but it looks to be a few years after his time at AMG, circa 1965.  And, if you ask me, James matured very nicely, thank you. 

I've also included two AMG photos of James with big guy Dave Hodge and fan favorite John Manning.  In both photos James looks like he's enjoying the comradery. 

Update: See notes.  Once again I confused Monte Hansen with John Manning -- two of my favorite models.  Hard to believe I cannot shake this confusion when I have been a fan of both of them for decades.

The Often Crowded AMG Shower

I always enjoyed the AMG shower photos, especially when two (or more) guys would share the tight space.  Usually the guys had just finished wrestling or filming a scene in one of Bob Mizer's films. 

First up we have two big guys I don't recognize.  If you recognize either of these hunks, drop me a line. 

Next we have Ron Wallace (left) and Jerry Sullivan soaping up after filming Young Magician, circa 1965. 

Johnny Stumps gets a helping hand from an unknown (to me) model.
