Porn Stars of the Past

Lee Marlin gives us a come-hither look on the staircase from the Nova film Politics Be Damned released in 1980.   Eric Brothers costars as a political pollster who stops by Lee's place to get his opinion on the upcoming election and gets a whole lot more than Lee's opinion.  Lee was one of my favorites from that decade. 

 

Porn Stars of the Past

If you're a fan of Nova Studios you know these two guys.  On the left is Chris Dean and the other guy is Lee Marlin.  The photo is from their 1979 Nova hit Pinning A Buddy where they play college wrestlers who see more action in the locker room than the gymnasium -- and then the action gets hotter when it continues into the shower.  (I should write this stuff for a living.) 

I had a thing for both of these guys.  And by thing, I mean boner.  

A Treasure Trove

I cleaned out one of my closets the other day and found a box filled with what we call "junk".  Going through the box I found eleven data CDs (remember them?) and all of them were marked "Review".  

Well...I reviewed them.  On the CDs are hundreds of photos I collected on the net over the years.  My plan at the time I made these CDs was to organize the photos and then label them for my permanent collection.  Somehow that plan got away from me.  :)

The photos fall into several categories.  They include AMG models, gay porn stars, Playgirl models, vintage amateur shots and a healthy supply of what I call "Vintage Unknowns But Not Unappreciated".

So now I have a new plan.  It's the same as the old plan with an added step.  I'm going to catalogue them, then post many of them to this blog.   Along the way I will seek assistance in identifying some of the models.  I plan to keep with the mission of this blog -- posting Men From Back Then -- and I will continue to avoid posting any explicit photos.  

So below are a few photos from the CDs.  This should give you a good idea of what's coming in the future.

Lennie Maddux (left) and Joe D'Vinci (sigh) in a promo photo for the AMG film Be A Good Scout, released in 1971.  Joe had a great body and a really nice looking penis.  Just saying. 

Mike Ramsey by unknown.  He did exactly four gay videos and I have all four of them.  This guy was husband material. 

I'm pretty sure this guy worked for Nova.  Update: I think that's Nova model Chris Dean. 

I forget his name, but I keep thinking he worked on a Joe Gage film.

Ray Connors

Ray Connors in a still from the 1978 Nova loop Pop My Fly.  Several photos from this film appeared in a 1982 issue of Honcho magazine when the film transferred to video.  

A Long Hot Day

From the left: Tim Rice, Tom Stout, Paul Mackie and Randy Lane in a still from the Nova loop A Long Hot Day.  The guys have an orgy at the bar in Paul's home where all three of them get plugged by lucky Paul.  

Paul may have been the center of attention in this one, but I found myself watching blond Tom most of the time.  A hot looking guy with a few tattoos who reminded me of Bill Lake.  (See previous post).  Unfortunately, I think this was Tom's only porno. 

Caught!

Bill Charles gets a spanking from Mark Hansen for spraying graffiti on Mark's wall in the Nebula (Nova) loop Caught!  I don't think either guy did another scene for Nova or anyone else. 

Basket Practice

George Conover goes down on Rex Wolfe on the basketball court in the classic Nova short Basket Practice.  A hot scene where both guys get off twice and (to my surprise) George plays the top.  

Handsome Rex became better known as Jim Bataglia in several videos for Catalina, HIS Video and a few others.  

Hans Mueller (The first one.)

Hans Mueller is one of my favorite Nova performers from the late 1970s and early 1980s.  OK, he had that distracting mop of hair, but that made him easy to identify when you were looking for Hans in film.  Besides, he more than made up for that hair with his generous endowment. 

There was another Hans Mueller who did a bunch of gay pornos a decade after this one.  We were told he was from Austria. 

Porn Stars of the Past

The incomparable George Conover shows us his biggest asset in this promo photo for the Nova short film End Play.  George is paired with AMG model Clayton "Clay" Hughes who wastes no time getting George out of his jock.  

I often confuse this photo for the Nova loop Backfield in Motion where the setting is very similar, but George is wearing blue striped socks.  Details are important!  :)
