One of the things I enjoyed about reading Physique Pictorial issues (other than the obvious reason) was the little tidbits or "blurbs" Bob Mizer would give us on the models. Here are two pages from two different issues.
Timothy "Hercules" Warf appeared in PP Vol 38 published in November, 1984, although this photo session was done in 1981/82. Mizer told us this guy was one of the most difficult models he ever had in front of the camera. Indifferent and uncoordinated were the two words he used to described him. The Subjective Characters tell us Herc was a hustler, but not someone you could say was "well endowed". He also lacked enthusiasm. Sometimes you have to go through the weeds to find the flowers.
Below we have page 10 of PP Vol 19 published in July, 1971 with a photo of Tony Farrell and Jim Stewart, Jr. The blurb tell us this duo was doing a tryout for a film that was eventually performed by other models.
The Subjective Characters tell us Tony was a hustler and he got a star -- Mizer's "highly recommended" symbol. Jim was a well-endowed hustler, but the + sign tells us he was the kind you saved up for. Think $$$. He was also kind of a "mama's boy" and, like Hercules, lacked enthusiasm.
