Into the Unknowns

Today's posts will all be AMG photos I recently found on an Internet auction site.  Specifically, these are photos of models I have not been able to identify.  The timeframe for these photos appears to be in the mid to late 1960s -- just prior to when AMG had the models go au natural or fully nude.

If you have a name for any of the models, please leave a comment.  Thank you!

First up are two models crouching and facing a wall.  Brian says they are Link Ramon and his longtime companion, Johnny Yuma.  Good catch, Brian!

Cute Couple

That's Link Ramon on the right.  It took me a minute to realize the other guy is Link's longtime companion, Johnny Yuma.  In my other photos of Johnny, his tattoos are not nearly as distinct.

Mystery Solved?

A few weeks back I posted a photo of an AMG model I could not identify.  Of course, he was a blond.  Both Cambria and Brian came up with the names Lloyd David and Paul Guffin, or Guffy.  Brian was kind enough to send me these photos where our mystery man is identified.

The top photo is from Physique Pictorial Vol. 15 No. 3 (June, 1966) and Lloyd's sparring partner is identified as David Blake.  OK, pull the car over and put it in park!  That's Link Ramon and the tattoo on his right arm settles it.  I think this is the only time Link/David appeared in a PP issue, but he did several films for AMG.  If you click my label for the film A Sailor in Egypt, you can see Link is clearly identified.

OK, back to Lloyd David.  I'm going to stick with that name since that's how he's identified in PP.  The fact PP misidentified Link does not strengthen my case, but we take what's given.  So, who's Paul Guffin?  Beats me.  There was an AMG model with that name who appeared in one film back in the mid 60s, but I've never seen any photos.

Jumpin' Jehoshaphat look at that butt!

Slaves in Rebellion

Helpful reader Guido sent me these photos to help confirm a previously posted photo was indeed from the 1965 AMG film Slaves in Rebellion.

Both Guido and Cambria say Joe Kiser was the only model identified in the film.  I don't see Joe in this cast photo, but I do recognize the guy standing, far right.  That's Link Ramon and the blond next to him is his longtime companion Johnny Ramon.  Ironically, Link and Johnny starred in the AMG film A Sailor in Egypt released the same year.

See end of this post for IDs.  Special thanks to Cambria for the names!

I posted this photo some time ago thinking it was from a film. Now we know!  What a lovely view!

It looks like Johnny and Link were slaves, along with three other models

From the left we have James Nash, Link Ramon, Johnny Yuma, Scotty Evans and his brother Smokey Evans.  Seated, wearing a crown is John Willoughby.  Standing, wearing a fancy helmet is Tony Rutherford.  On the ground is Joey Gaussoin.

For most of these guys, this was their only work at AMG.

Rare Sighting

I wonder who took this photo of a fully nude Link Ramon.  It's the only photo I've seen where he's not wearing a pouch, brief or swimsuit.

Framing

Link Ramon (reclining) and his longtime companion Johnny Yuma.  Well, I assume that's Johnny.  They two were inseparable.

I don't know who took this photograph.

Just Chilling

I can't say who photographed him here, buy this is my new favorite photo of Link Ramon.

Duet

Link Ramon (standing) and Johnny Yuma by an unknown photographer.

Note the matching necklaces.  Link and Johnny were longtime companions and always worked together.  They made two films for AMG, but I think only one of them was ever released.  They also did a film for R.A. Enterprises.

Third Wheel

From the left: Johnny Yuma, Link Ramon and Jim Reno in a still from the AMG film A Sailor In Egypt.  Johnny and Link were lovers at the time this was made and did most all of their work together.

That's Some VPL He's Got There!

AMG model Link Ramon in a photo I believe is from Apollo.  Link also did some work for R.A. Enterprises so that's a possibility, too.

Link often appeared with his friend, roommate, lover (whatever) Johnny Yuma when he worked at AMG.  They had matching necklaces, too.
