A Mature Gunther

I don't know who took these photographs of Gunther "Jim" Horn.  He looks a little older than he did during his time at AMG.

Jim Horn

The drapes may not match the carpet, but Jim was a true Teutonic blonde.

Victory

Brian Idol poses as the victor over an unknown (to me) defeated foe.

Vintage Fan 1952 says that's Jim Horn.  Good catch!

Three Amigos

From the left: Sam Hunter, Brian Idol and Jim Horn on yet another outdoor adventure for Wyngate & Bevins.  Brian really did get around, didn't he?

Early AMG Nude

Gunther "Jim" Horn by AMG.

Jim stayed busy at AMG.  He started there during the late posing strap era and was one of the first models to go full nude for Mizer.  Later he did a couple of films for Wyngate & Bevins where his hair was long enough to cover his ears.

Carry The Captive

Another very clear image of Bill Grant (left) and Jim Horn in the Zenith film White Captive.  The film was made at the AMG studio in 1967.

Early Nude Film

Jim Horn (blond) and John Dole in a couple of stills from the AMG film Brother Hood.  One of AMG's first full nude films.

I know I've seen this one, but I can't remember the plot.  Of course I wasn't watching it for the plot.

More W&B

Another group shot from a Wyngate & Bevins film back in the 1960s.  Fans of Jim Horn and Jack Reno should be able to spot them in this group photo.

More W&B

A color version of a Wyngate & Bevins photo I previously posted. It's probably from a movie with a title like Four Naked Guys At A Picnic

From the left: Sam Hunter, Joe Iannini, Brian Idol and Jim Horn.

Something For Everyone

From the AMG and Wingate & Bevins film Ramona (aka Seven Athletes) released in 1966.

Take notes, you will be tested.  From the left: Jim Barckley, Buddy O'Neil, Jim Horn, Tom Smith, Brian Idol, Howard Frame and Sam Hunter.  That's one helluva of a line up.

Wyngate & Bevins

A set of photos by Wyngate & Bevins from the late 1960s.  While W&B made movies,  they also sold photos of their models whether or not they were from a movie.  I think these photos are a mix of both scenarios and many of them are from the film Ramona.

The problem is W&B rarely identified the models.  Fortunately many of the models also did work with AMG and fans of that studio should be able to put names to the faces and other body parts.  Well, maybe not all of the body parts.  For many of the AMG models this may have been the first time their fans got to see them without a posting pouch.

First up is Jim Horn (left) and Brian Idol.

Jack Reno is ready to knock it out of the park in this photo.

Sam Hunter on the left and Brian Idol riding an unknown model on the right.  The guy hanging onto Sam is Joe Iannini.

Brian comes through again!  This is Scoop Helentall.

That's Monte Hansen in the back. Rick Lane helped identify the guy in front as Jimmy Carroll.

Bob Jackson is second from the left.  The always helpful Brian E. correctly identified the guy third from the left as Tommy Evans and the guy on the right is Butch Umbenhauer.  Good eye!

Black & White

Jim Gunther Horn (blond) and the future Mr. America, Bill Grant in the DSI film White Captive released in 1967. The movie was obviously filmed at the AMG studio, but AMG listed this as a DSI film and praised its technical quality.  Both studios released White Captive at the same time.

Jim was born in Germany just after the war and moved to the USA when he was a small child.  In 1966 he did the film Ramona (Seven Athletes) for Wyngate & Bevins before moving to AMG where he stayed busy for a year or so.  Mr. Grant was from that strange enchanted land we call New Jersey.  He did a few films for a couple of other studios, including a softcore one that had at least four different titles.  In his scene(s) Bill posed naked and then did a rather tepid JO scene.  Later in the film a dozen or so anonymous hands "massage" Bill as he pleasured himself.  Bill's films enjoyed a revival of sorts when he won the Mr. America contest in 1972.

Early Nudes

Bill Grant (left) and Jim Horn in a still from the Zenith film White Captive.  This was filmed at AMG in 1967 and showed full nudity -- a full year or so before AMG tossed the pouches.

Bill Grant was named Mr. America, 1972.

Up Against The Wall
