Peter Schade (left) and Thomas Parks at AMG. I have other photos of Thomas as Tom posted to this blog. The tattoo confirmed for me they are the same guy.
A collection of classic male physique photos from the 20th century with an emphasis on the thousands of men who posed for Athletic Model Guild (AMG).

Monkey Business
Tom Parks (who Mizer said was lazy and recalcitrant) bends over Joe Manning in a still photo from the AMG film Monkey Business. I'll spare you the plot details, but in the end the two guys wrestle on the floor. Quelle surprise!
The blurb at the bottom of this photo told us Joe, along with his brothers John and Jim, were not available for any additional work at this time. Allow me to translate: All three of them were locked up in the LA county jail at the time of this publication. Quelle surprise!

That Telephone Guy -- A Correction
Last week I posted the top photo in this group of photos and claimed it was a hot vintage photo of a real Pac Bell repairman. I even thought of the AMG movie Lineman Ring My Chimes and mentioned it in the post.
Well as the saying goes, right church, wrong pew. It is indeed an AMG photo. That's Tom Parks from the AMG film The Telephone Lineman. The other two photos confirm the origin of the first post. Click Tom's label to see more.
I like when I make a mistake and then discover how my wires got crossed. Crossed wires? I made a pun. 😀

Double Trouble
I've already told you Wilson would often miss appointments at AMG and that did not sit well with Bob Mizer. Tom Parks would make his appointments, but quickly get "tired" and want to take a break or call it a day. MIzer said Tom was one the most difficult models he ever had on the set.

Shore Patrol (Update)
This is the first of two models named Bob Johnson who posed for AMG -- and my favorite of the two. Sharp-eyed followers will notice Tom is wearing a nearly see-though brief, leaving little to the imagination. Quite risque for Mizer in the early 1960s.

The Telephone Lineman
Both guys did several films for AMG back in the early 1960s.
