Porn Stars of the Past

Ty Arthur (shirt) and Bill Lake in the Nova film Beached released in 1979.  IMO this was Nova at it's best!  The production values were top shelf -- especially when you consider this was filmed 45 years ago.  Great color, both indoors and outdoors.  No live sound, but decent voiceovers to move the story. 

The first sex scene between Ty and Bill takes place in the Pacific Ocean!  Actually it was filmed in a backyard pool, but there's seaweed and some curious fish in the scenery.  Nice touch!  The guys eventually move their tryst to a towel on the beach -- sand be damned!  (It looks like Black's Beach.)  Then Bill takes Ty to his beach cabin and they wind up on the shag carpeted floor.  Two very versatile performers who clearly enjoyed working together.  Or, they were damned good actors. 5 Stars! 

P.S. Bill Lake showed up at Old Reliable in 1984 -- a little older, but none the worse.  He was called Mike Doll.  The same year Nova released Beached, Ty posed for AMG as Scott Lafayette.  My search for any evidence of his work at AMG is now in its fourth decade.  

Porn Stars of the Past

Lee Marlin is probably best known for his work with Nova, circa 1980.  Here is in one of Nova's loops that took place in a locker room.  Locker room loops were a staple at Nova.  

One of Lee's first films was the highly successful The Grease Monkeys (Jaguar Productions, 1979).  Lee got top billing along with Kip Noll and Nick Rogers and was in three different scenes -- including one with the two of them.  You may not recognize Lee at first.  It's the only time I've seen Lee with a mustache, which leads me to think that it may have been his first film.

Making a Friend

David Lord (left) and Marty Palmer in a still from the Nova film Back Packin'.  We were told David was 6ft 2in tall, which makes me wonder how tall was Marty.  This was Marty's only film. 

I think this is from the same film.  David did several films for Nova.

Bill Lake

The beautifully endowed Bill Lake in a still from the Nova classic Beached released in 1979.  IMO, one of Nova's all-time best films.  Bill is paired with Ty Arthur (sigh) and the two guys go after each other on the beach and then again at the beach house.  Five stars! 

Leigh Erickson's Debut

The porn star best known as Leigh Erickson in a few stills from his very first porn flick -- Detour (Nova, 1979).  He was called Bill Thompson in this one and a couple of other titles.  Then he got a haircut and Nova called him Marc Bennett in a couple of other pornos.
