End Of The Pouch Era

Everett Lee Jackson over Johnny Menendez in a still from their wrestling match filmed in 1965.  As Cambria would tell us, those striped pouches were all the rage at AMG that year. 

This film was eventually released -- in 1973, well into the full nude era.  I suspect Mizer got enough requests to make its release financially viable.  Everett was a very popular model. 

Late Release

Filmed in 1965 it was promoted in Physique Pictorial Vol. 25 in April, 1973 as a new release.  Although this posing strap film was released well into the full nude era, Everett (aka Cherokee) was a very popular model and I suspect Mizer got enough requests to make it so.

Well-Toned

AMG model Johnny Menendez by Kris of Chicago.  Johnny always had a well-toned body in his AMG photos.  This one from Kris really accentuates his torso.  

John & Johnny

Johnny did a number of films for AMG around then, but I guess he took the train to Chicago to work for Kris.  He did a couple of films there, too. 

Here's Johnny!

That's Johnny Menendez in the middle.  I strongly suspect the two other models joined Johnny in the AMG film How Physique Photos Aren't Made, but they were never identified.  The movie was promoted in a Physique Pictorial issue from the mid 1960s with a photo of Johnny and Boris Demitroff (not shown) who played the photographer in this one.

Another Mystery

Second and third from the left are Lou La Venture and Johnny Menendez who did at least two film together in the early 1960s.  This photo has me a little stumped since I don't recognize the other two guys.  Anyone? 

Not Johnson & Johnson, It's Johnny & Johnny

Johnny Menendez (left) and Juan "Johnny" Semblante clean up in the AMG shower.  I think they did a film together, but it was lost or damaged and never released.  

Roman Soldiers and the Christian Slaves

From the left: Johnny Menendez, Lou La Venture and John Stinson in a couple of stills from the AMG movie Roman Soldier and the Christian Slaves.  Although photos from this film were published, I don't think the film was ever released.

Sailor's Dream
