Falling Pteruges

Joe Leitel removes Alan Parker's pteruges.  Alan gets his revenge while Bruce Reed restrains Joe.  

All this was just a pretense to get the guys nearly naked in the slapstick comedy Ben-Hurry by Zenith.  These guys made silly and sexy work.  Five stars 

Zenith Film

Colt Alexander (seated) is the homeowner who tempts burglar Chuck Roy (standing) in the 1969 Zenith film Night Intruder.  The two of them wind up in Colt's bedroom where the sparks fly! 

A reviewer gave this film "Three Gs... Good, Gay Gymnastics!".

Jailhouse Love

Wayne Johnston (left) and Bob Watson in the Zenith film Cellmates.  Zenith promoted this film as groundbreaking not only because it was their first film with live action sound, but it showed the models in some passionate embraces.

Big Jeff

The long-legged Jeff Larken in a photo I believe to be from the Zenith film The Nude Inn -- a delightful comedy with a dozen or so Zenith models.  Jeff also posed for AMG who told us he stood 6'5". 

Towel Off

John Krivos was a popular model who did a few films for AMG around 1960.  Here he is in a scene from the Zenith film Snow Body where he was called John Novak.  I believe this was John's very first film. 

Time For Some Comedy

From the Zenith film Ben-Hurry.  Top photo, from the left: Joe Leitel, Bruce Reed and Alan Parker play hijinks on the set of this comedy by Richard Fontaine.  Filmed at the AMG studio and released in 1959, this was one of Joe's first films.  I think this was Bruce and Alan's only film.  

Bruce was the biggest of the three, but I remember reading somewhere each of the guys stood over 6ft tall and weighed between 185lbs to 200lbs.  

Laugh Fest

The guys are movie extras in a big budget film, but their high jinks get them in all kinds of trouble on the set. Comedy abounds in this gem filmed at the AMG studio. 

Something Different

Allen Bruce (mustache) and the lovely Spike Adams in a photo I believe to be from Dick Fontaine -- the founder of Zenith and Apollo films. 

Spike and Allen did a film for Zenith titled Muscles from Outer Space.  I'm sad to say I never had a chance to see it, but I have seen several promo photos over the years.  I know this photo is one of them because of that rug on the floor. 

Early Nudes

Bill Grant (left) and Jim Horn in a still from the Zenith film White Captive.  This was filmed at AMG in 1967 and showed full nudity -- a full year or so before AMG tossed the pouches.  

Bill Grant was named Mr. America, 1972.

From the left: Alan Parker, Joe Leitel and Bruce Reed in a still from the Zenith film Ben-Hurry released in 1959.  The film was made at the AMG studio. 

Joe was a newlywed during this production and his wedding band is clearly visible in this photo.  Close observers will notice Alan's pubes are visible in this photo -- a rarity for the time.
