Richard Harrison Nude!

The top photo of a nude Richard Harrison is the only one I have ever seen in my long history of looking for nude men on the internet.  This image is also the best copy I could find out there now.  While I did find other copies of this image on various websites, none of them offered any attribution. 

Let me take a stab at it.  I would bet this photo was taken on the AMG rooftop.  So I would say Bob Mizer.  We know from previous posts, Richard posed for Mizer just prior to the start of his Hollywood career. 

Here are two more photos taken at the same location.  They're from AMG. 

A publicity photo of Mr. Harrison for the sword and sandal film Gladiators Seven (aka Gladiators 7) released in the U.S. in 1964.

I'm sure this photograph of Bill Derrick by Dave Martin brought the model many new fans. You may notice it looks like Bill is missing a digit on his right hand. I can't explain that, but rest assured, Bill had all ten digits. 

Fans of male butts must have gasped when they first saw this photo of Bob McCune by AMG. The paragraph of text below the photo was often contained Mizer's editorials on subjects such as Big Brother, censorship, and corrupt LA cops.

Once again we have Don Fuller, this time in a photo for the play The Little Hut directed by Richard Fontaine of Apollo. In this play, Joe Leitel was Don's understudy. That's not a euphemism.

Frank Renault in an AMG photo. Frank is wearing a special posing pouch that helps accentuate a certain part of the male anatomy.  It was available by mail order through AMG.

Does He Look Familiar?

The handsome Richard Harrison at the AMG pool.  He started posing for Mizer in the late 1950s when he was a fresh face Hollywood heartthrob.  In the early 1960s he moved to Italy to see if he could get work in the popular sword and sandals films made by Sergio Leone and others back then.  A few years (and a few films) later he returned to the States and over the subsequent three decades made more than 100 films.  

The curator of the great blog Vintage Muscle Men posted a photo of this lovely lad the other day, prompting me to do this post.  Imitation is the best form a flattery.
