John's Opponents

Two photos from AMG with John Davidson and two of his wrestling opponents.  The top photo has John trapped under Bill Deane in the film Vicious Guard.  I believe Bill played the guard.  The bottom photo has John firmly pressing his groin against Al Edmond's butt (Oh my!) while Al strains to be released from John's forceful hold in the AMG film Improvident Intruder.  Suddenly I'm very jealous of Mr. Davidson.

In this example Al's last name is given as Emonds.  I've seen it both ways.

Tempus Fugit

Recently a follower asked me to identify the very first I made to this blog.  He wanted to start from the very beginning and read each post to present day.  I had to dig a bit and was surprised to learn my first post was all the way back on December 15, 2018.  Today I am reposting some of the first images of this blog.  Think of it as a trip down memory lane.

My very first post featured AMG model Roy Bergen at his first of many sessions at Old Reliable in the fall of 1982.  OR called him Champ.  Years later, David Hurles, the proprietor of OR, said he probably had more photos of Champ than any other model.  At first that surprised me, considering how many OR models made multiple visits to David's home.  Then again, David admitted he fell hard for this guy.

John Davidson (left) and Al Edmond in the AMG shower.  I'm sure I wasn't alone in my appreciation of John bringing his "marine buddy" with him that day.

James Grimes.  There was just something about him. 🙄

Keith Long (left) and Brian Diaz at AMG, circa 1985.  Brian did a boatload of wrestling videos where he found himself on the receiving end.  I saw every one of them.  Twice.

Ed Cheever by Bruce.

Bill Gelzon and Eddie James compare muscles in the AMG film Escape of the Captive.

I posted this AMG photo hoping to get the model names.  Alas, no luck.

This one goes back to my days on Tumblr.  I was hoping to get a rear view of this handsome lad from (my guess) the early 1900s.

My Cup Runneth Over

Brian E. read the post where I shared a group of photos of Al Edmond I received from Cambria.  So Brian put a cherry on that sundae and sent me his collection from that same session.

All three of us are searching diligently to find Al's session with Bruce of LA.  That is, if one exists.

Special Gift

Here's a genuine US marine who was called Al Edmond at AMG.  His marine buddy John Davidson brought him along one day to make some quick cash.  I read somewhere Al also posed for Milo and Bruce, but I've never seen any evidence of that.

Well thanks to Cambria who heard my cries and sent me copies of Al's work with Milo.  At AMG he was all smiles, here he appears more serious.  It's all good to me, though.  So special thanks to Cambria for this post.

I would be remiss if I didn't ask if anyone has his photos with Bruce.

Marine Buddies

Another photo of John Davidson (left) and his "marine buddy" Al Edmond posing on the AMG lot in the mid-1960s.  John brought Al to AMG that day and I'm probably not the only one who was glad he did.

Jon Davidson and Al Edmond in the AMG Shower.

That's John on the left.  A very popular model who was a marine stationed at Camp Pendleton when he posed for AMG, Pat Milo and Bruce of LA.  On this day he brought along his "marine buddy" Al Edmond.  The two marines wrestled on the mats then took the obligatory shower -- together, of course.

John did many sessions at AMG, but this was Al's only time there.  I'll post a couple more of both guys in the near future.
