Something Borrowed

I got this photo from VMM.  That's Brian Idol on the left looking his usual hunky self.  There was some discussion as to the name of his little friend.  That's Joe Iannini.  The tattoos confirm it.

Eight Is Not Enough

From the Wyngate & Bevins film Eight Athletes released in 1967.

The guys take a road trip to the desert and then wind up at the AMG pool.  On the far left is Jim Giussi.  The tall guy next to him is Jim Barckley.  That's Jerry Sullivan's butt in the center and next to him is Joe Iannini.  The guy on the far right is Tom Smith.

More W&B

A color version of a Wyngate & Bevins photo I previously posted. It's probably from a movie with a title like Four Naked Guys At A Picnic

From the left: Sam Hunter, Joe Iannini, Brian Idol and Jim Horn.

My New Obsession -- UPDATED

I'm updating this post because I finally figured out the name of Bachelor No. 6.  That's Joe Iannini.  I knew I had posted photos of him previously.  In one of the photos, he's holding his name plate.  Confirmed!

Still looking for 2 and 9.

As you know, I've been trying to get names for the full cast of the AMG and W&B film Eight Athletes.  Based on a few notes I've received, I think I should make a post and give you the names of the guys I know and point out which guys are still on my unknown list.

From the left:

1. Jim Barckley - I like the dangling cigarette.

2. Unknown - Joe Cyr -- see comments.

3. Jim Giussi - I've posted other photos of this guy, albeit with shorter hair.

4. Tom Smith - The hairy chest and his tattoos helped me out.

5. Jerry Sullivan - Looking a little older here...but still hot.

6. Joe Iannini - OK, I found a pic of this guy holding a name plate.

7. Sam Hunter - He did several W&B films.

8. Unknown - This guy has proven to be a real challenge.

Add your comments if you want to help me out.

Four of the Eight Athletes

Here's are two photos of four of the cast members in the AMG and W&B film Eight Athletes.  That's Sam Hunter on the right, but I'll be damned if I can name the other three.  The guy second from the left looks very familiar, but my mind is blank.

In one of the promos for this film a Joseph Iannini was named as a cast member.  The guy on the far left and the guy next to Sam I've never seen before -- so I figured one of them must be Joseph Iannini.  Here's the problem: one of my sources says Joseph had curly blond hair.  Well, that throws a wrench in it.

What I'm really looking for is the name of the guy second from the right in the last photo.  Yeah, the big guy with the deep tan.  CambriaDavid has been trying to assist me.  Anyone else?

I Finally Got An ID

Joe Iannini and J.D. Gregg with name plates at the AMG compound.

I've have other photos of Joe, but I was never able to identify him.  Joe was one of the "eight athletes" from the film with that same name.

BTW.  I think J.D. looks mighty fine in these photos.

Four Athletes

Here we have half the cast of the AMG film Eight Athletes.  Released in 1967, this was one of Mizer's first films where the guys were "au naturel".   Mizer did not identify all of the models in any of the promos for this film, but I recognize a couple of them.

Second from the left is Joe Iannini.  On the far right is the handsome Sam Hunter.

Eight Athletes (Updated)

Eight models pose on the AMG rooftop in 1967 to promote the film Eight Athletes.  I saw this one a few years ago, but now I can't find it in my collection.  Most of the action takes place in the desert (Mojave?) then the guys return to the studio and do a few pool and rooftop shots.  Unfortunately, only four of the models were identified -- and for three of the four, I didn't need them to be identified.

From the right, starting with the second guy in, is Sam Hunter, Joe Iannini and Gerald Sullivan.  As for the other four guys, I have never seen them in any other AMG films or photos.

I think this may have been Jerry Sullivan's last film.  His career at AMG lasted at least three years.

Update: First on the left is Jim Barckley.  Next to him is Joe Cyr.  Third from the left is Jim Giussi.
