A Red Letter Day!

Much to my surprise I came across a few new photos of AMG model Norman Elijah Moore.  Alright, the center photo is a repeat, but it is larger and clearer then the one I posted last year.  The other two photos are all new.  Hooray!

Norman Moore

I'm reposting this because jimboyfan2 has provided several links in the comments to tell us what happened to Gunnery Sergeant Norman Elijah Moore.  Thank you, jimboyfan2.

recently found this page from Physique Pictorial Vol 31, issued in August, 1978.  Here we can confirm Norman was indeed a marine, and a career one at that.

Norman Moore

This is a repost, but he's worth it.

Twenty two years old, 6ft 3in, 210 lbs.  Sigh.

Big Norm

One of my favorite AMG one-day-only models Is Norman Moore from Norfolk, Virginia.  I've posted photos of this stud in the past, so today I will tell you some things I've learned (or deduced) since that first post.

I originally stated he was 27 years old but, in a promo for his only AMG film, Mizer said he was 22 years old and was born in 1938.  I'll do the math for you.  That one day visit to AMG took place in 1960/61.  Although we weren't told, I always figured Norman was a marine.  There's the obvious haircut and it makes sense when you wonder how a young lad from Virginia wound up in LA.  Also, in an earlier posting, a follower weighed in on those white socks.  He said they were popular with marines stationed in post-war Japan.  OK, that fits.

At 6ft 3in tall carrying 210 lbs I'm sure Norman turned a few heads.  The AMG squiggly lines (codes) found in the last photo of this post (from PP Vol 13 No 1 Aug 1963) tell us Norman was a typical man who was open to receiving oral (for a price) and was somewhat lacking in the physical manhood department.  That same post, on the opposite page, has a promo for Norman's only film Mummy and the Dancer.  His costar was the ill-tempered Ron Taylor who played the dancer while Big Norm played the mummy.  The film was released shortly after that issue of PP.

I think I've found all that's out there on the Internet for Mr. Moore.  I'm sad to say there is no more of Moore.  (Pardon the pun.). Of course, if anyone has more on Moore (Last time, I promise.) please contact me.

More of Moore

I posted this photo of Norman Moore a while ago and happened to find it in my archives this morning.   It's a rerun, but I doubt I will get any complaints.

AMG Shower

Norman Moore in the AMG shower, circa 1963.  A big, muscular marine who really floated my boat.

A Christmas Miracle

For a long time now, I thought I had seen all the photos of Norman Moore that are out there and I would never find any more (Moore?).  And then, last night I found this photo.  As the wise poet Justin Bieber once said: Never say never!

Maybe it was more (Moore) of a Festivus miracle?  Heh.

More of Moore

Norman Moore wearing socks with his sandals.  He still gets a "10" from me, though.

More Norman Moore

Two more photos of the hunky Norman Moore, circa 1963.  Years ago I lost my collection of Norman pics due to a hard drive failure.  If you have any, please share.

There are other photos from this shoot where he wears a gladiator helmet and wields a big sword.  Note the socks and sandals (actually, they're flip flops) in the lower photo.  The socks were a little distracting, but he did look hot.

Some stats: Six feet three inches carrying 210 lbs.  He was roughly 27 years old at the time of this photo shoot making him a little older than most AMG models at that time.  Although we were never told for sure, the haircut suggests he was a US marine.

Moore! Moore! Moore! (How do you like it?)

The uber-masculine Norman Moore shows off the guns and the buns in this photo by AMG, circa 1963. This photo and one other appeared in a couple of issues of Physique Pictorial. In those issues we learned Norman was from the east coast and carried 210 lbs on his six foot three inch frame. Based on that haircut, I'm guessing Norman was a bona fide U.S. marine.

He appeared in the AMG film Mummy and the Dancer. I don't think I ever saw it. I'm sure I would have remembered Norm as a mummy or a dancer.
