Tiny Tom and Bill Voldemar In a promo photo for the Pat Rocco film A Very Special Friend.

Tiny got his name due to his small stature.  At most, Tiny stood around 5ft 3in.  In the film he and Bill meet, fall for each other and enjoy the afternoon on a boat ride.  The movie's claim to fame was the long, passionate kiss the guys experience near the end of the film.  Back then, that was considered a milestone event in gay film.

I Think He's Doing It Wrong

Filmmaker and photographer Pat Rocco tries to get Jim Cassidy drunk. Pat was Jim's biggest fan. In fact, it was Pat who gave Jim his stage name. 

Mr. Rocco was a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community. His activism, as well as his  photographs and films, attracted the attention of the LA vice squad. In 1974 they raided Pat's home and spent hours going through his personal belongings. They found nothing. Eventually the case against him was dropped.  

Mr. Cassidy was one of the early "stars" of gay adult films and he parlayed that into a career that kept him busy throughout the 1970s. He's credited for approximately 100 films and that number probably does not include the times he was called in to "stunt dick" for a scene. Stunt dick? Yeah, it's exactly what you think it is.
