Lee the Hot Looking Pirate

Lee Hayes (left) and Blackie Preston in the DSI film Blackie and the Pirate in 1966.  Lee puts on an eye patch, a headband and a belt to give him a swashbuckler look.  Actually, he looked hot. 

It appears this film was made at the AMG studio, but it was DSI who released it first.  AMG added the film to their catalogue a couple of years later.

Yet another in the series of guys conserving water at the AMG studio.  Here we have Jack Reno all alone, then Blackie Preston joins him.  I think they did a film together, but I don't think it was ever released.

Slave Fights Back

Blackie and John starred in a similar movie titled Gladiator & the Slave in 1965 and (IMO) they appeared to have developed a chemistry on the wrestling mats.  But in this film, the addition of Buddy did not add to the charm.  If I recall correctly, watching Buddy "fight back" was about as exciting as watching paint dry.
