A new (to me) photo of Joe Cyr (striped pouch) and Lynn "Lil' Bear" Hitchcock from the AMG film Lil' Bear's Hero.

Joe Cyr lifts Jim Giussi at AMG.  This photo was probably taken during the filming of Eight Athletes.

Joe Cyr

Joe sure looks a lot different than his earlier AMG photos.  Not better, though.  Just different.  Click his label.

Joe Cyr

A couple of more AMG photos of handsome Joe Cyr.

There was a Joe Sears who also posed for AMG and Pat Milo.  I have seen sites where one is confused with the other.

My New Obsession -- UPDATED

I'm updating this post because I finally figured out the name of Bachelor No. 6.  That's Joe Iannini.  I knew I had posted photos of him previously.  In one of the photos, he's holding his name plate.  Confirmed!

Still looking for 2 and 9.

As you know, I've been trying to get names for the full cast of the AMG and W&B film Eight Athletes.  Based on a few notes I've received, I think I should make a post and give you the names of the guys I know and point out which guys are still on my unknown list.

From the left:

1. Jim Barckley - I like the dangling cigarette.

2. Unknown - Joe Cyr -- see comments.

3. Jim Giussi - I've posted other photos of this guy, albeit with shorter hair.

4. Tom Smith - The hairy chest and his tattoos helped me out.

5. Jerry Sullivan - Looking a little older here...but still hot.

6. Joe Iannini - OK, I found a pic of this guy holding a name plate.

7. Sam Hunter - He did several W&B films.

8. Unknown - This guy has proven to be a real challenge.

Add your comments if you want to help me out.

More of Joe!

Here are two more photos of Jim Stafford (left) and Joe Cyr from their AMG film in the 1960s.  The size queen in me can't help but notice Joe's eye-popping bulge.

AMG Science Fiction

From the AMG film Dr. Doty's Creation.  From the left: Art Williams, Joe Cyr (sigh) and Lester Doty.  The plot was paper thin, but the wrestling was hot.  Joe and Lester had very similar looking butts.

Joe Cyr (Part 6 of 6) (Updated)

In my search for more information on Joe Cyr I found these photos.  Joe's posing partner looks slightly familiar to me and I may have a name for him sometime in the future.

About these photos:  Once again, is it me?  Joe's partner sure looks totally in love lust for Big Joe.   And the fact they're holding hands tells me the feeling may have been mutual.

OK...maybe I'm just projecting again.

Updated: Thanks to cham cham we now have a name.  That's Jim Stafford giving Big Joe the goo-goo eyes.  I should be ashamed that I missed this one.  I've posted several photos of Jim in the past.  Well, I knew he looked familiar.

More of Joe & Lil Bear

Lynn Hitchcock (aka Lil' Bear) is the Indian who hero worships the handsome Joe Cyr in the AMG film Lil' Bear's Hero.  My money says Joe got to tap that.

More of Big Joe

From the AMG film Dr. Doty's Creation.  That's Joe Cyrus on the floor.  Joe's costars are Art Williams and Lester Doty as the doctor.

Joe Cyr (Part 1 of 6)

Roughly six months ago I came across this photo of an AMG model who looked familiar, but I could not name.  A few months later I found another photo that identified him as "Joe Cyr".  I posted it to this blog with a promise of more.  Little did I know my journey of discovery trying to find more on Joe would be like Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole.

OK, that might be slightly dramatic.  (Me?  A Drama Queen?)   But it was an interesting journey that showed me how difficult it can be to research an AMG model -- even when you have a name.  So fasten up as I tell you the story of my search for Joe.  I'm sure it will be made into a major motion picture next year.

Joe Cyr (Part 2 of 6)

The photo that identified Joe for me was the first photo in this series.  It's from a film he did with Lynn "Lil Bear" Hitchcock titled Lil Bear's Hero.  As a card-carrying member of the Lil Bear fan club, I knew I would find more photos from this film.  And here they are...

In this first photo he's called Joe Ed Cyr, but all other references dropped the middle name.  I never saw this film, but now that I've seen these photos I wish I had.  I may have to surrender my Lil Bear fan club membership card until I do.

--------------------

In the cuteness department few could top Lil Bear in my book.  I have no idea what plot there was in this film -- if there was one -- but apparently Lil Bear plays the Indian Brave and Joe is his hero.

IMO Lil Bear's best asset was his smooth bubble butt.  But take a gander at Joe's cheeks in these two photos.  Two solid mounds of muscle!  They're the only photos I have of Joe showing his fine Man Ass and I will be working hard to find more.

Joe Cyr (Part 3 of 6)

Thank the gods Joe and Lil Bear took the obligatory shower after filming Lil Bear's Hero.  I don't think I've seen a happier Lil Bear in any of his films or photos.

Maybe it's me, but I think Lil Bear looks completely enamored with Big Joe.  This is one of the reasons I would like to see this film.  I want to study his body language as he interacts with Joe.  Did he act like a real flirt?  Was he throwing himself at Joe like some cheap hussy?  Am I over analyzing this and projecting my own reaction to showering with Big Joe?  Probably.  I'll stop now.

Touching butts?  Me thinks Lil Bear is sending a message.

Joe Cyr -- Part 4 of 6

Halfway down the rabbit hole in my journey to find more photos of Joe Cyr I found this photo.  I'll summarize my immediate reaction as best I can recall.

"Are you kidding me?  There were two models called Joe Cyr working at AMG around the same time?  I mean, I know Mizer screwed up id's once in a while, but this guy doesn't look a damn thing like Big Joe.  WAIT!  Wait just one MFing minute.  That's Joey Sears on the left!

I knew Joey posed for Pat Milo.  Apparently he posed for AMG, too.  So let's compare the names: Joe Cyr vs. Joe Sears.  OK, I see how Mizer got confused.  It explains the error.  But it doesn't excuse it.  I'm not bitter.  Really, I'm not.

The second photo in this post is Joey Sears by Pat Milo.  As for Jim Wisdom, I don't recall ever seeing his photos in any publication.

Joe Cyr (Page 5 of 6)

Now this set of photos featuring Joe really set me off on a tirade!

My first thought when I found these photos was "Great! I've got another ID name card with Joe's name on it!"  Not so fast.  By then I knew Joe Cyr was the guy on the left. I also knew the cutey in the uniform is Jim Halverson.  So why is Jim pointing to Joe's name?  I have no clue.  Maybe it was Bob Mizer's way of driving me crazy fifty-five years after he made this film.

Exactly which film these photos were promoting was a mystery to me and this was the first time I had seen any photos of the cute blond, Al Beauchene.  In the second photo of this post Al is wearing a dress.  I can't say why, but I knew this would help me find the film I was looking for.

I'll spare you the suspense.  After an extensive search in several brochures, pamphlets and Physique Pictorial issues I found a film called "Sissy & the Convict".  But get this!  It listed the cast as Cyr Beauchene and Jim Halverson.  Who the f**k is Cyr Beauchene?  Oh...I see what happened.  Just another "mistake" to make it more difficult for your host to get the facts.

-------------------------

Now let's take a look at the shower photos from this film with Big Joe and Al.  (I guess Jim had a pressing engagement.)

Joe and Al smile as the water starts to fall on them.  They look so happy to be sharing this moment.

Joe moves in a little closer and gives Al a serious (and sultry) look.  Al holds his breath.

Joe looks deeply into Al's eyes while he reaches up and adjusts the shower faucet.  Al is thinking "Maybe I can adjust your faucet, Joe?"

Al gives Joe a foot bath, heavy on the soap.  Joe hold Al head to get his attention and asks "Al...while you're down there, could you do me a favor?"

Hello Big Boy! (Updated)

Lynn "Lil Bear" Hitchcock looks a little worried sharing the AMG shower with this handsome lad. Anyone know his name?

Update: I finally found a name for the handsome stud.  He went by Joe Cyr or Joe Ed Cyr.  I'll post some more photos from this session, including one with the name card that finally settled the question.

Eight Athletes (Updated)

Eight models pose on the AMG rooftop in 1967 to promote the film Eight Athletes.  I saw this one a few years ago, but now I can't find it in my collection.  Most of the action takes place in the desert (Mojave?) then the guys return to the studio and do a few pool and rooftop shots.  Unfortunately, only four of the models were identified -- and for three of the four, I didn't need them to be identified.

From the right, starting with the second guy in, is Sam Hunter, Joe Iannini and Gerald Sullivan.  As for the other four guys, I have never seen them in any other AMG films or photos.

I think this may have been Jerry Sullivan's last film.  His career at AMG lasted at least three years.

Update: First on the left is Jim Barckley.  Next to him is Joe Cyr.  Third from the left is Jim Giussi.
