Rick's Back!

Bad lad Rick Barton poses for David Hurles of Old Reliable.  Rick first posed for AMG as a slim Rick Gleadall with no tattoos.  And yes, they're real prison tattoos. 

Rough & Hairy

Mark Kovarik puts Keith Long in a headlock during their wrestling match at Old Reliable.  

If I recall correctly, this was a rematch from a wrestling scene they did at AMG.  Both guys gave it their all, too.  

Bill / Mike

Yesterday I posted a photo of a young Bill Lake and mentioned he also posed for Old Reliable roughly five years later as Mike Doll.  Cambria sent me this O.R. photo of Mike/Bill.  It has long been my favorite photo of this guy and I'm surprised I've never posted it.  

No disrespect to Cambria, but I once had a larger and clearer version of this photo that now seems to have disappeared.  Does anyone have that larger photo?

Beefy Mike

Mike Glacier started at AMG in 1980/81 and did a couple of wrestling films.  In 1982 he was in the first video from Old Reliable (VT-1).  Mike was 21 years old.  He became a somewhat regular at OR in the 1980s.  David Hurles always gave him high praise, probably because Michael was a natural in front of the camera.  

Here he is at his last visit to OR.  He was 33 years old.  

Dear John

I had to steal this photo of John Benninghoff from VMM.  Here he is at his first visit to Old Reliable in 1983.  He came back several times to wrestle.  He also made a number of visits to AMG in the early 80s.  

Years ago, a fellow AMG enthusiast told me he met John a year or so before John posed for Old Reliable -- and he had the Polaroids to prove it!  He said John was one of the nicest guys he ever met.

AMG model Jerry Suter at his first visit to Old Reliable in 1986 when he was an innocent (cough, cough) nineteen year old. 

Rassle!

Kelly "Kermit" Dean and Eddie Perez did a boatload of wrestling videos at AMG starting in the late 1980s.  Here they are at Old Reliable where they continued to find opponents. 

I have no stats on Kelly.  I would say he was of average height and weight.  Eddie was only 5ft 3 inches tall and weighed roughly 120lbs naked.  Regardless of his size, Eddie was one helluva wrestler.  Watching him take on much larger opponents made him one of my favorites.  

Both guys had a reputation for popping wood at the drop of a hat.  On and off the mats.  I do recall watching this match and it was no surprise to me when Eddie wiped the floor with Kelly's cute butt.  I don't recall who popped a boner first.  😋

Rumble

I just realized this is my first posting of Weed Hopper.  He hopped his way (sorry) back and forth from AMG and OR in the late 1980s and did many wrestling, boxing and spanking scenes for them.  At 5ft 8in tall carrying 150 lbs he moved with the grace of someone much smaller and had the strength of someone much bigger.  A high energy guy who was quick with a boner.

David Hurles of Old Reliable gave him the name Springer because this guy couldn't stay still for two minutes. 

He Loved The Camera

Sean McWilliams at his first session for Old Reliable in 1983.  He got his start at AMG who called him Bob Kisler.  Sean liked to talk big, especially about his adventures. 

Proud Peacock

Mike "The Spike" Rueter by Old Reliable.  He did some work for AMG, but he became a regular at Old Reliable.  So much so, I suspect he was actually living with David Hurles. 

Kodak Moment

I think I have a name for this AMG model, but that forced smile on his face does not help me recall his name.  It's that long hair and the tight body that is ringing bells for me.  Anyone? 

Blond Brows

John Erickson at Old Reliable.  AMG called him Johann Bach and he did at least one hardcore as John Bach.   I do recall David Hurles telling us John would try anything...twice.

MikeOH!

Mikeo Quess by Old Reliable in 1991. 

Some stats: 23 yrs old, 5ft 9in, 155 lbs. A native Californian and a former welder in the Navy, Mikeo really impressed David Hurles who said Mikeo's smile lit up the room. 

Hurles gave him his own tape -- two hours recorded over several days -- with Mikeo posing and satisfying himself while talking to David and the camera.  The fact his first OR appearance was in a tape all of his own speaks volumes to how much Hurles was impressed with him.  

Mikeo returned for a second visit two years later and this viewer was impressed.  He still looked great...maybe even better! 

Ave Atque Vale

David Hurles, founder of Old Reliable Tape and Picture Company, passed away on April 12th at a nursing home in Los Angeles, CA.  He was 78 years old. 

Star

AMG model Judd Lancaster at his only session at Old Reliable in 1982.  The session appeared in OR's very first video.  He went by the name Star.
