Trampoline

I know I've posted this model in the past.  Believe it or not, I recognize the hair style...not the butt.  How odd!

Photoplay reminded me, this is John Adams.  The other one.

He Can See Uranus

Photoplay says this is John Adams.  No, not that one.  The other John Adams.

Need a Little Help

Laverne Foster (crown) and John Adams (standing) wrestles Ronnie Peace in the AMG film New Slaves for the King.

See comments.  Thanks to Cambria for clearing up a discrepancy.

Question

John Adams and Jay Unrich.

A reader sent me these photos in response to a question about Jay.  I just don't recall the details.  If you were that reader, please comment below.

Four More

Four more photos from the AMG film New Slaves for the King.  Top photo, from the left: Bill Mahrer, John Q. Adams, Ronnie Peace and Gary Pederson.

Filmed in 1965, but not released until 1971.  It was one of the last AMG films released where the models wore pouches.

A nice rear view of the models.  The model who played the King (crown) was not identified; however, Cambria thinks it might be Laverne (?) Foster.

We were told Ronnie was 6ft 4in and weighed 200lbs.  Gary appears to be roughly the same size with maybe a few more pounds of muscle.  Unfortunately, this was his only film.

John & Jerry

Jerry Ulrich (left) and John Q. Adams in the AMG shower.  Thanks to Cambria for Jerry's ID.

This is my first photo of Mr. Ulrich and from this angle he looks fine to me.  Maybe someone will send me more photos of him so I can do a more complete examination.  😋

Suck It In

John Adams at AMG.  There were two different John Adams at AMG.  One of them is also known as John Q. Adams, but over the years I've seen both of them referred to as John Q. Adams.  Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

Nice Hang

I'm not sure who took this photo of AMG model John Adams, but I think it was Pat Milo.

AMG Film

Cambria sent me this AMG photo to ask if I could identify the three models on their knees in front of John Adams.  I once had a b&w copy of this photo, but I was never able identity any of the guys except John.

I think this might be from a film.

The three unknowns are (left to right) Bill Mahrer, Ronnie Peace and Gary Pederson in the film New Slaves for the King.  Cambria found confirmation after sending this to me.

Heavy Equipment

AMG model John Adams by (I think) Pat Milo.  John was one of those models who started at AMG in the pouch era, but eventually went full nude for Mizer.

Physique Pictorial Vol. 7 No. 2 (Part 2 of 3)

Bob Bethea by Dave Martin.  The location almost looks like a studio background.

Bob De Grant was a big guy who was all football "through and through" -- although Mizer told us he was also a "graceful ballroom dancer."  I'm sure that made the ladies swoon. Photo by Ken Wallace of Hollywood.

Here's Don Fuller outside The Moroccan theatre where he was appearing in a play.  (More on that later.)  Mizer says Don exercised with AMG model Joe Leitel at the gym and they were also "batching together."  I think that means they were roommates.

Ed Houghton didn't think he had much to offer a physique photographer, but Ken Wallace of Hollywood thought otherwise.

Henry Stenecki did two posing films for Spectrum in Cincinnati.  For more of Henry, click his label.

Joe Mahaffey in a photo by MC Wood of Hollywood. Mizer lamented that whenever he would publish photos of models like Joe, bodybuilders would write him and ask why a skinny guy like this made the issue and they didn't. Mizer explained that some of his "feminine" readers liked guys who were slender, athletic and not just big muscles. Translation: some of my readers like twinks.

Rodney McDonald by MC Woods of Los Angeles.

Harold Reposer by Jim Hills of San Francisco. Mizer often promoted posing briefs and pouches like the one worn by this model that could be purchased through AMG. And if you're wondering if Mizer sold the actual briefs worn by the model, you're not the only one who wonders that.

Here Mizer promotes various fashion options to his readers using Joe Leitel, John Adams and Dave Wiler as models.

Roman Celebration

Thanks to CambriaDavid I now have photos from the AMG film Roman Bacchanal released in 1973.  Good thing we have name plates for this one because I don't recognize most of the models.

As far as I can tell this film was never promoted in any of the PP magazines.  Although it was not released until 1973 it was actually filmed in the mid 1960s.

There's some fine looking young men in these photos whom I've never posted on this blog.  For some of them, this was their only work at AMG.

Beefy John

John Adams did some work for Bobco and AMG.  He was another one to go from posing pouch to full nude.  I'm not sure who took this photo, but I'm glad they did.  John really put on some muscle.

Update: Cambria tells us this one is from Pat Milo.  See comments below.

Captured By The Law

From the left: Jim Giussi, John Adams, Pat White and Wayne Byrd in a still from the AMG film Angelic Hood.  Jim plays a hood who is captured by three officers.  So why are the officers wearing stripes?

This is my first photo of Mr. Byrd.  Bruce of LA did a really nice photo session with him that I need to post for your appreciation.

Sheer

AMG model John Adams in a photograph by BOBCO.

John started with AMG near the end of that studio's posing strap era.  We did get to see John fully naked when that studio went all "natural".  If you click on his Label at the bottom I've have posted one of those photos.

More of John Adams

I've posted other photos of John Adams (top photo, left) with this model I cannot identify.  Still looking for a name, though.

John's partner is Jim Johnson.
