I remember Van Williams on Green Hornet. He was meant to be the star of the show, but Bruce Lee, who was meant to be just a minor character, caught on, became popular, and eventually displaced Van as the star, although they evidently remained friends. Van was also a regular on Sunset Strip. And he guest-starred on the Westerns that were popular then. He seemed to pretty much fade away after Green Hornet, I never heard much about him after that.
Van passed away just a few years ago, I think he was about 80 years old. One more good-looking TV actor from the sixties who's now passed on.
This is great close up version of this photo I prefer the original that shows more of the car and all of Van Williams especially his bulge. Maybe that's why it got cropped to remove the offensive bulge?
