Being John Manning

My friend over at Vintage Muscle Men made today "John Manning Day" on his site.  As you may already know I'm a big fan of Mr. Manning, so any day that starts with photos of John is like Christmas morning to me.  

Sometime in the near future I intend to have my own John Manning day and tell some stories I've heard over the years of this popular and prolific model.  I'll even include a few photos of his brothers.  Stay tuned. 


The photos below are from Bruce of LA in 1957 when John was 21 years old.  Originally published in color, this black and white set is just as stunning as the color set.  I especially enjoy the last photo in this post, but I don't think I've ever seen it in color.
