Joe's partner here is Larry Marrinan. I have 2 more photos of them together with the same shiny pouches and one photo where Larry has some sort of uniform on, and his holding a hammer (!) while Joe's using one of those springy chest expanders, as you do!
Larry Marinan always gets misidentified. Larry Marinan is also in the photo posted on November 19, 2020 with John Tristram but there he is identified as Forrester Millard. It is from the 1959 AMG Film "Pose Please". It starred JOHN TRISTRAM and LARRY MARIANAN.
The Model with Joe Leitel is LARRY MARIANAN. I am just going to spell it the way GEVI has it. LARRY MARIANAN is also in the photo from November 19, 2020 posted on MFBT with John Tristram. That photo is from the 1959 AMG short film "Pose Please".
Delia Bell Mizer never sewed any posing pouches for Bob Mizer or his AMG models according to the BMF. Delia was born in 1882 and was in her 70s by the 1950s and died in 1964. It is totally false. Delia may be mistaken for the Mother of Don Whitman of Western Photography Guild. WPG had far fewer models than AMG but Don Whitman's Mother did sew the Posing pouches for the WPG models. See, https://blog.bobmizer.org/focus-on-western-photography-guild
The film BEEFCAKE (1999) also spread that lie that Delia sewed the Posing Pouches and Joe Mizer did the books for AMG. Joe Mizer was special needs and unable to finish the 8th Grade. He could barley sign his name on his draft card. Delia Mizer was far too old to be sewing thousands of Posing Pouches and she never could have done that. The photo on this site of "Delia Mizer" with Bud Counts is really Linda Counts his wife.

ReplyDeleteOK. I'm confused. Who is this guy with Joe in the photographs?
DeleteAccording to the Grecian Guild the name is Larry Marianan. But it seems that there are also different spelling of his name.
