I'm reposting this one I originally posted in the early days of this blog. Most of the models were strangers to me, but, with the assistance of some helpful readers, I now have names for nearly all of these guys.
A collection of classic male physique photos from the 20th century with an emphasis on the thousands of men who posed for Athletic Model Guild (AMG).

ReplyDeletePhoto 7- STEVE KEIFER is on the LEFT with RON HENDERSON on the RIGHT in the AMG Shower. They made the 1964 AMG short film "Cop & the Delinquent". STEVE KEIFER was a One-Time only Model for AMG in 1964.
ReplyDeleteI have photo number 5 labeled as Dave Eagan and Kerry Fairchild.
ReplyDeleteAnd just as a guess for the partner of Roger Conte (or Roger Cote): could it be Bill Simons? He played with Roger in the film "Spring Catch"
ReplyDeletePhoto 5 is MIKE BOSWELL on the LEFT AKA DAVE EGAN when he posed for Pat Milo. JOHN MOREY on the RIGHT. They made a nudist film at AMG in 1967 for Trojan Book Service called "The Tease". AMG released the film in 1968 called "Morey & Boswell".
ReplyDeletePhoto 1 is ROGER COTE AKA ROGER CONTE when he posed for Pat Milo on the RIGHT and BILL SIMONS on the LEFt after making the 1961 AMG short film "Spring Catch". BILL SIMONS was actually an escaped convict from Bradford Pennsylvania and yet was able to get a job as Chauffeur to the Governor of California.
ReplyDeleteJames: Photo 2 where you have "NO NAMES YET" is BOB WALK on the LEFT with BOB TAGUE (TAGUI) in the AMG Shower in 1966 after filming the 1966 AMG b&w short film "Payroll Robbery". (Catalog P006). The Images are from AMG Catalog VD25. TAGUE was more than a foot taller than WALK. It is noticeable.😒
ReplyDeleteI urge you to look at your links to Bill Simons. The photo in this post is indeed the Bill Simons who was written about as being an escape convict. The other fellow you have tagged as Bill Simons may have had the same or similar name, but this guy is the one with the record Mizer wrote about. There is also an earlier Bill Simons who was listed in the 1956 1000 Model Directory - different from both of these guys. Hit me up if you want his picture.
