Jack Wrangler did a ton of gay and straight porn in the 1970s.
He was a handsome, versatile blond who's career took many turns. Jack did a couple of dozen gay pornos along with a relatively equal amount of straight porn. A critic once said "If you've seen Jack in a gay porno, you've seen him in every gay porno he did." I've seen a few of his films and I understand what the critic was saying. He had one persona on film and stuck with it. Still, he could eat crackers in my bed anytime.
In 1994 Jack turned many of gay heads when he announced he had married the famous singer Margaret Whiting who was more than twenty years his senior. They stayed together for fifteen years -- until Jack's death from emphysema in 2009. I remember thinking at the time "Who would of thought she'd survive him?". But not by long. Margaret died two years later at age 86.

ReplyDeleteJack Wrangler was in almost every gay magazine in 1978/79. Every time I saw his beautiful face on the cover I had to buy it. I was in terrible lust over him. He also did straight porn, The Devil and Miss Jones was a HUGE Hit! I was shocked when I heard he married Margaret Whiting but I thought it was wonderful at the same time. They did dinner theater together wished I could've seen that. Jack had a notorious water sports scene with a pair of identical twins that nearly took my breath away. It's difficult to find because it was illegal to show that sort of thing in many states.
