Strong Arms

Richard Kirchner by Lon of NY.

I think I got his last name right.

  1. I like the pose. The lighting is good, but is the brownish tone due to age or the developing process?

    1. Probably age, but there is a possibility that someone used a digital filter to artificially age it. There is sophisticated (and expensive) software that is supposed to be able to detect that, but I don't have it yet. I took a fascinating online course on historic photos in the digital age, and there are so many tricks that are out there.

  2. You got the spelling correct, James. He made the cover of Lon's magazine, Men and Art, in 1957, plus he appeared in two photos in Male Model Parade, one being a duo with John Dudley. The only frontal nude I've been able to find is the one you posted above. Can you tell I'm a fan yet?
