Joey Johnson, Buddy D'Ianco and Rick Banner pose before their wrestling match, circa 1965. This film was never released.
Joey co-starred with Andy Chavez in the film At The Trading Post, but that film was also never released. Ironically, Buddy and Rick filmed a different wrestling match that was released in 1967. I may have already explained this, so bear with me. Mizer took photos like this one with the models holding name cards and used them to promote the films in PP magazine and other publications. But in the late 1960s, Mizer went full nude with the models and the demand for guys in posing pouches dropped precipitously.
Yes, it was the end of that great Golden Era in physique photography what a shame both styles could not exist together. Classy to porny.
ReplyDeleteAt least we can see all these images now thanks to our computer age that we were always told would happen some day and here we are. Your site and many others are the tip of the phallus, so much more from the past is still unseen. -Rj
