End Of An Era

Peter Mayer (left) and Ralph Smith in a still from the AMG epic saga Mummy & The Sailor.

Although the film was made in 1965 and scheduled for release in 1973, it does not appear to have ever been released.  Bob Mizer was known for promoting a specific film that he would call "in production" but, in reality, it was actually in the can. He would offer a release date that was often five, six or more years away; however, if enough customers expressed interest in  purchasing the film, he would move up the release date.

In the late 60s AMG began offering full nude films and the demand for models in posing pouches dropped like a stone. From that point on, many of the posing strap films that were scheduled to be released never saw the light of day.
