Feeding Time

Bob Wilson pops his head out of the television screen for a snack in this AMG photo, circa 1963.

See notes below.  Brian reminded me the guy holding out the treats is Larry Cotrell and Mike tells us that the other model is Jimmy Lloyd.  Cambria got the film name.  Oddly, it was called TV Repairman

If repairing my TV means sticking Bob Wilson inside it, sign me up!

  1. I believe the guy on the right is Larry Cotrell. The dude in the middle is familiar, but I can't ID him.

    1. You're correct! Considering I have posted 6 photos of him, I'm surprised I didn't recognize him.

    2. It might be RONNIE BORTHWICK. WILSON, COTRELL and BORTHWICK made a AMG short film called "Rebellious Slaves" in the early 1960s. I was never sure if the film was released.

  2. The only AMG film that BOB WILSON and LARRY COTRELL were together was "Frontier Fun" in 1962. That photo would not be from that film. It was photographed on Rosorito Beach in Mexico with the cooperation of the Frontier Boy's Club of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The club is sponsored by an Ex-Washingtonian legislator George Gregg... In addition to the very pleasant outings, rodeos etc. that the club conducts, one of its very worthwhile projects is to collect clothing for the poor boys of Tijuana... The club publishes a rather newsy little book called "The Mighty" which has a lot of terminology we don't quite understand but is quite interesting.
Bob Wilson... was knocked into the brink by a big tidal wave (at least 6 feet tall!) as described by George Gregg in one of his newsletters. He recovered in time to finish the film however. BOB WILSON was from Elizabeth New Jersey and was born in 1940. Bob Mizer wrote a number of times in Physique Pictorial threatening to 'tell all' if Wilson didn't "fulfill his obligations." I never figured out what Mizer meant by that but it certainly was curious and ominous.!

    1. JIMMIE LLOYD and LARRY COTRELL were both in a AMG short film called "TV Repairman" that was filmed in 1961. Was BOB WILSON also in that film uncredited?

    3. That makes sense. Thanks to Mike for the name and Cambria for the film!

  4. Thanks for the ID for Jimmy Lloyd, Cambria! It was bugging me not being able to remember his name, knowing it was Bob Wilson on the left and Larry Cotrell on the right.

  6. Wonderful photo on so many levels. The men are great but so are the decorations on the walls behind the men and the furnishings.
    It’s really great.
