Picnics and summertime fun in the good ole days. Those old cars looked great, but they were death traps. No safety belts or protective padding, window glass that could tear you to shreds, steering columns that could impale you in a collision, steel dashboards that could crush your face and their fancy chrome knobs that could gouge your eyes out, brakes that faded and failed, and the list goes on. An uncle was an ambulance driver and saw first-hand the carnage :(, worse than his experiences as an Army medic in WW2. Yes, the good ole days, the not so nifty fifties and the not so swingin' sixties....:)
