Street Wear

For a brief period of time Mizer would photograph models wearing their street clothes.  We used to call them dungarees.

I love how Mizer gave them all WASP names.

Bob Kimble

Herb Williams.

Jack Parker.

Jim Brecker

Phil Parker.

  1. When men rolled the cuffs on their jeans. My uncles told me when they went to high school in the 40s and 50s the dress codes prohibited jeans and t-shirts, otherwise you were sent home and in those days no teenager dared to piss off the old man, unlike today where it seems a lot of father's cave in or fear their own sons.....:)

  2. Well, James, you've sent me down the rabbit hole with this post!

The first guy, Bob Kimble, looked familiar so I checked him out and yes I have him as Bob Craig. That's the name he is listed under on p. 16 of AMG's 1000-model directory (I have a photo of that page). I have 4 more photos of him.

As for the third guy 'Jack Parker' well, your filename suggests he's AKA Jack Muma, and that too got me looking and yes I have another photo of a Jack Muma and freakily, I had one labelled Jack Murna - which I reckon was a typo for Muma. So,this little jaunt has been fun, thank you.

Your filename for Jim Brecker suggests you have more of him, is that true? If you do, could you please post them?

All in all a great post. I love me a bit (actually a lot) of fur on a man! That Herb Williams is a dreamboat!
