I like the lighting here...among other things. The model glows in contrast to the background. Is it all natural lighting, or something in the developing?
AL EMERSON was a Body Builder and Gymnast who posed Nude for Dave Martin at the Crystal Springs Reservoir near San Mateo California in 1954.!! Note the Power Lines behind him. I thought that it was unusual and a mistake for Dave Martin to allow that to be in the Photo.
Martin should have set the camera in a way to keep out the power line towers. The Pulgas Water Temple was another site near San Mateo that Martin used for his photos with Bill Derrick and others. -Rj
At first I thought the same way. Why have them in the photo? After I finished appreciating Al's tight frame, I thought they made the photo look realistic.
