Mizer told us these photos were taken when the two first met and they got along fine. A few weeks later they had a big fight when Don called Jim a sissy -- a subject Jim was very sensitive about. Mizer said Don was a con who would stop at nothing in a fight and would think nothing of swinging a 2x4 or a tire iron at his opponent. We never learned if the argument ever got that far. I doubt it. Both of these guys did a lot of work at AMG.
Bob Mizer seemed to support JIM LASSITER and cast him in 9 AMG short films all made in 1961. When JIM LASSITER appeared as himself in BEEFCAKE (1998) he was surprisingly negative about Bob Mizer. Even though Mizer called DON WISEMAN "a rough little Con" he cast him in at least 9 AMG short films. I always thought Mizer had a thing for "Bad Men".
