You might expect to find this photo over at VMM...and you very well might! I found this on some site with vintage photos of men in sports. I stared at this one for a few minutes as I admired the intense dedication of the third guy from the left.
I know, the teams are too close to each other and there's no flag in the center. But who wants to be picky when we have such a lovely view.
My version had the yellowing removed by someone before I found it, and I posted it almost five years ago. (It took a search of my archive to find it, my memory being lacking.) The notes say it was German and made sometime between 1918 and 1933, possibly FKK.
