STEVE EPSIE really just posed for KURT DEITRICK. He was born in 1958 and was from Louisville Kentucky. By the time he came to model in Los Angeles in 1978 Kensington Road was no more. Bruce Bellas died in 1974 in Canada. Steve Buono (the sole beneficiary of his will) sold his interest to Kurt Deitrick including the home and left shortly after Bruce died. Kensington Road was always run by only Kurt Deitrick alone and Steve Buono was never involved.
(vvs)
Kurt Deitrick (real name was Kent Schlesselmen) used a Seal Beach, California mailing address, and had sales offices in Washington D.C. and London, England. Deitrick got his start with Bruce (Bellas) of Los Angeles. After Bellas died in 1974, Kurt purchased Bellas' work and his home and continued selling Bellas' photographs. (Steve Buono had left shortly after Bellas died and never was involved with Kensington Road.) Deitrick then called his business Kensington Road (Bellas' street address). Deitrick soon learned that tastes were changing and the market for the campy Bruce of LA photos was no longer viable. By 1978 Deitrick sold off everything that was Kensington Road and/or Bruce Bellas and he retired in 1979. Years later Deitrick would return to male photography in small doses but he never touched anything related to Bruce Bellas or Steve Buono again.
Epsie is so 'n aantreklike en gewillige jong man, so bly om homself te wys. -die kortbroek wat hy dra is so 1970's- Die agterplaas van die Bellas huis is gebruik as die agtergrond vir baie fyn mans. -Praetorius
