I reposted the top photo last week to ask once again if anyone had a name for this handsome and well-tanned model. Thanks to Cambria, now we know.
This is Kenneth Stancin (aka, Wanno) and the photo dates from 1961. The other photo is from Physique Pictorial Vol. 11 No. 3 (April, 1962). As for the name Wanno, that's what he was called in his AMG wrestling match with Jack Johnson. The match was promoted in two PP issues in 1961.
Cambria says this guy was a prolific artist. Perhaps he will share some details in the comments.
The Stancin family set up a website which has some details about Kenneth Stacin. KENNETH lived from 1938 to 2012. He produced over 5000 Original Paintings. The family was originally from Romania. The website is https://www.stancin.la/photo-gallery

DeleteStancin's brother William was obsesed and involved with Beverly Aadland, Errol Flynns gal. In 1960 he was killed when he and Aadland fought over a gun. William Stanciu was 21, Stanciu is their Romanian surname. -Rj
ReplyDeleteI wondered what happened to William when I saw this Stancin family website. Ken Stancin seemed to have hippie long hair for the mid to late 1960s and early 1970s and was not recognizable from his physique modelng days.
