I should have said this photo is by Warner. John Holden sat for AMG; Johnny or Jonney Holden sat for Warner — but he is the same man under different names, depending on the studio.
James, I never said it was from AMG. I said it was Johnny Holden, not John Holden (whose pics were by AMG). Two different people. I agree with Photoplay that this Holden's pics were by Russ Warner. They look like his work...they don't look like Mizer's.
You have one photo by JOHN Holden here which is clearly by AMG/Mizer. You have another pic of JOHNNY Holden up which someone past identified as being by Warner. This one you also mistakenly have tagged as being Johnny, when in fact it's John Holden, and it's not the same person as JOHNNY Holden. Brian, U R right...James, you posted the wrong information at the top and misquoted me. I said "A web search I did indicates this is Johnny Holden (not John Holden)." My last reply above from March 19, 2024 at 6:52 PM clarifies what I said previously. Not wanting to add to the confusion, but isn't this Johnny (Jonney in the catalogue page) Holden by Warner and the other guy is John Holden by AMG?
