The face of the Guy on the LEFT looks a lot like Don Matney. But if you look at the other photos posted on MFBT, Don Matney was never this thin (that I have seen) and you could not see his ribs.I hope to solve this mystery by asking the BMF if they can locate this exact photo.
It looks like a photo from the film "Hunters & the Witchdoctor" - if it is so according to GeVi the left guy should be Jerry Smith (at least it matches to the only photo I have from Mr. Smith). GeVi names two further models for this film (Ed Taylor and Don Roder). Because the right guy doesn't look like Ed Taylor he could be Don Roder ... but this is just a suggestion.
Guido: ED TAYLOR was a African-American Black Marine who ended up living with Bob Mizer after meeting Mizer in 1965. So he played the WitchDoctor and is NOT in the photo above. So it is indeed Jerry Smith on the LEFT and Don Roder on the RIGHT. Congratulations and Happy July 4th to you.
