David O'Boyle was fast friends and more with Robert Bartholomae hopping freight trains across the country together. When they reached LA Robert stayed for a month and went home. David stayed in LA for several years and never had a legitimate job other than modeling for Mizer and other studios. His real income was from hustling Men which was tax free with plenty of tips. David O'Boyle would have starved had he not been a succesful and Happy Hustler.
