5. Stud from Calafran.

6. Nice tan lines.

7. It's all about that girth.

  1. STUD was the Name of a popular Model for Champion Studios. And at least 4 lesser known studios used the Name "STUD" in the 1960s and 1970s. STUD may be the name of the Calafrans Model. Photographer J. Brian and publisher Bob Damron founded Calafran Studio in San Francisco in 1967 in the wake of the liberalization of U.S. obscenity laws. (The Damron guide book for all things gay across the U.S.A.) Calafran was not known to be very good with Model names and information.

    2. I think he was the "STUD from Calafran" to differentiate him from the "STUD from Champion" or the " STUD from Bob Anthony" or "STUD Mitchener". Sending you Photos.

    2. Charlie Ram/Don Hedjuk was the "Boy in the Gilded Cage" with Ron Wallace in 1969. A short film that Played at the Park Theater in LA that the Advocate called "the longest 10 minutes in town." Bob Mizer was insulted and called the review "Juvenile".

    4. Brian E I would sure like to see those 3 Photos. Charlie Ram was also Peter Hayes for Bob-Co. But I never remembered Bob Carr taking photos of Models on a Boat.? A mystery unfolds.!

    5. That film title: 'Boy in the Gilded Cage' explains why 7 of the 8 photos I have that have both Don Hejduk and Ron Wallace in them show a cage in the background. It's adds some context to the photos.

    6. Mizer said that Don Hadjuk/Charlie Ram was a Drifter from North Dakota/Saskatchewan. He made 3 short films at AMG besides "Boy in the Gilded Cage" he also made "Marine Corps Calisthenics" with some Brothers. But DON/CHARLIE was not a Marine that I know of. Maybe the unnamed Brothers were the Marines? So many mysteries with him.!
