Mr. Poe is indeed very handsome, but that's a shotgun, and he's wearing biker boots. The hat is quite nice, though, and I'd love to know how they kept that classic bandana in place.
Looking furrther, I have three photos of him where the name is credited as Drexel Poe. One other photo (which appears to be from the same shoot) credits: "Apollo I" as the photographer.
What a looker, Joe Poe has it all, the face, the physique and a willing model. A rifleman in more ways than one. Spirit gum would have been used to hold the bandana in place over his phallus and scrotum. Who knows, that devil Mizer may have insisted on applying that bandana on Poe. Image must have been done in the early 60s, and to think a few more years and the image would have been of Poe au natural. A keeper for sure. -Rj
