I have posted several photos of Wesley "Wes" Hall in the past. Here he is in one of the PP issues where Mizer gave us the always helpful Subjective Characters. If you read the blurb above those characters you'll understand why Wes did not get a star of approval.

ReplyDeleteWESLEY HALL sure did not get the Bob Mizer seal of approval. I am still amazed at how terrible some of these write ups about these AMG Models were by Bob Mizer in PP.
ReplyDeleteMizer was quite biting at times with his write ups, but then again, he was dealing with some unsavory rough trade types like the Ferguson brothers.
DeleteIn the 40' & 50's Mizer had the pick of bodybuilders and well-built men like Keith Stephan and Forrester Millard, by the later 60's it was mostly average guys from the streets. -Rj
There is so much history to learn. I have been studying and reading books about this for three years now. RICHARD HARRISON (Model & Actor) was acquainted with Keith Stephan. Richard related to one writer an incident he had with Keith in the late 1950s. Apparantly the two Men were hanging out together and were on the roof of Richards Apartment Building. Keith picked Richard up and was going to throw him off the Building to save him from Hollywood. Richard talked Keith out of it by telling him he still had a lot of life to live and had experienced very little. It ended their friendship. Bob Mizer was aware that it had taken place. Richard did not make the story public until Keith Stephan had been deceased for 26 years.from a suicide after his wife filed for divorce.

DeleteI have read that most of the physique photographers corresponded with each other and recommended physique models. -Rj
Bobby Nelson was openly Gay. Bob Mizer described him as "active in church." Opened his home to Troy Perry for the establishment of the Metropolitan Community Church in Costa Mesa, CA. Filed as a conscientious objector with the draft board and served his term in a mental health hospital. After Keith Stephan made "Keith Stephan Posing" in 1960 Mizer had nothing good to say about Keith to anyone.
DeleteSchlagzeuger-boy Wes hat einen großen schwanz, und er ist noch nicht einmal ganz erigiert ! Nicht schlecht für eine vielseitige männerhure, wie Mizer verriet. Sein stock erfreute viele.
